The data which is presented here shows the results of  a monitoring operation performed to determine the level of  implementation of the One-Stop Shops. The monitoring was carried out by the sector for Economic Activity and Innovation of the Province of Milan, using a questionnaire which was sent to all 189 Councils within the Province at the end of 2008.

The questionnaire had been preceded by a letter sent to the 189 Mayors of the Councils, which explained the Province’s reasons for  requiring an update from each Council on what steps had been taken to set up the One-Stop Shops, and how these were now functioning. The letter explained that this was intended to enable the definition of an agreement for collaboration with the Councils which were running the One-Stop Shops.

The questionnaire was planned with the aim of collecting and codifying information in two fields. The first explored the “identity card” of the One-Stop Shop and included questions concerning the set-up date, the form of management, the organisational location and the accessibility of the service.  The second looked at the extent of the service and evaluated the efficiency of the One-stop shop .
