The most ancient part of Palazzo Isimbardi dates back to the 16th century. Currently, the Palazzo serves as the main offices for the Province of Milan, home to all of its administrative activities, as well as hosting an important artistic heritage, and is open to the public for guided tours.

Guided tours are normally held on the first Friday of each month from 10:00 am and third Friday of each month, from 18:00 am onwards.
